Service Description

This beginner course covers a basic introduction to using pencils, charcoal and watercolour, and is also open to you bringing any other mediums with you if you’d like feedback or guidance with those. Through studying a range of different subjects you will learn many things including how to: Draw basic shapes to make up a drawing Use different types of shading to add depth to your drawing and paintings Understand the light source and shadows Use colour to give shape and interest to a painting. Understand soft and harsh edges and when to use them You will also gain confidence developing your own technique and improve your overall skills for all aspects of your own art practice. This is the second of a six session course, although attendance at the first is not necessary. There will be one session every four weeks; dates are listed below. The cost is £150 for the six sessions. There is only room for 12 people in this course. You will need to supply your own materials and equipment. I will suggest what to bring in for each session before each one, and these will be basic things that you will probably have already as part of your art practice at home, such as pencils, charcoal, watercolour paint, sketching paper and watercolour (or mixed media) paper. Cancellation Policy

PAINT ALONG CANCELLATION POLICY If you cancel your Paint Along session with more than 24 hours notice, you can swap the booked date to another date, or receive a refund minus a £5 booking fee (or credit that session that to your payment plan). If you cancel your Paint Along session with less than 24 hours notice, you will not receive a refund, but may be able to swap to another date at Lucia's discretion. DRAWING & PAINTING COURSE CANCELLATION POLICY All deposits and monies paid for the Drawing and Painting Course is non refundable. If you cannot make any date, please let Lucia know as soon as possible. In the event Lucia has to cancel any session, she will offer an alternative date or if this cannot be agreed, then will refund pro rata.
