Peacock and Hare
Painted in 2025, this piece was originally created as part of a planned series of twelve paintings, each inspired by one of the zodiac star signs. It gave me the opportunity to explore oil paints in a new way, experimenting with rich colours, glowing light, and symbolism.
Although I never completed the full collection, I did finish two paintings, and I'm delighted to finally make them available again.
This painting is inspired by Libra, the sign represented by the scales. A graceful peacock and a gentle hare balance one another beneath a glowing moon, while the constellation shines overhead, celebrating harmony, beauty, and balance. Whether you're a Libra yourself or simply love the peaceful atmosphere of this piece, I hope it brings a little wonder to your home.
