Hippo
Painted in 2025, this hippo was originally created as part of a planned series of twelve paintings, each inspired by one of the zodiac star signs. It became a chance for me to experiment with oil paints in a new way, and I loved the challenge of learning how to get the most from the medium.
Although I never completed the full collection, I did finish two paintings, and I'm delighted to finally make them available again.
The constellation of stars above the hippo represents Virgo, bringing together the beauty of the night sky with one of nature's most lovable giants. Whether you're a Virgo yourself or simply fell in love with this gentle soul, I hope it brings a little wonder to your home.
